Authorship Criteria
The Brazilian Journal of Dentistry and Oral Radiology (BJDOR) follows strict authorship standards consistent with the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) to ensure responsibility, transparency, and integrity in scientific publishing.
To be listed as an author, an individual must meet all of the following conditions:
-
Have made a meaningful contribution to the study’s conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation;
-
Have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for significant intellectual content;
-
Have approved the final version to be published;
-
Agree to take public responsibility for the work and cooperate in addressing any questions related to the accuracy or integrity of the study.
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet all criteria for authorship should be recognized in the Acknowledgments section, with their contributions specified where appropriate.
At submission, BJDOR requires all authors to describe their individual contributions and disclose any potential conflicts of interest. This policy supports transparency, individual accountability, and adherence to ethical publishing standards.
