ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN DENTISTRY
Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly permeating every clinical and academic segment of dentistry, yet its applications, level of maturity, and evidentiary support vary considerably across specialties (Problem/Justification). This book chapter aims to map and critically synthesise the current evidence on AI applications across the main segments of dentistry, namely oral radiology, orthodontics, periodontics and implant dentistry, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, restorative dentistry and prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral pathology and oral medicine, temporomandibular disorders, forensic odontology, dental public health, and dental education, including student assessment
